I'll be heading out to the Astor on Wednesday to catch my man Cameron McCulloch's new short, the TEA PARTY, in competition at the Made in Melbourne Film Festival. Cam was the arsehole who first put the idea of becoming a filmmaker in my head when I was about 12 years old. He's also the reigning champ of this festival after winning last year's Best Film award with his zombie short: HOME. To go from an edgy zombie film to a comedy with foul-mouthed puppets shows that Cam isn't just a one-trick pony. He's the real deal. Hopefully some fucker throws some real funding in his direction after seeing this. Go Cam!
Check out his last award-winning 'rom-zom,' HOME, while you're at it. It's a pretty damn classy piece of filmmaking...
